Canton Fair 2025: Strong Growth in Construction Machinery and Bright Prospects for HZM loader

The 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), which concluded in Guangzhou on November 4, 2025, demonstrated remarkable growth in the construction machinery sector. According to the organizers, the fair attracted over 310,000 overseas buyers from 223 countries and regions, up 7.5% from the previous session, setting a new record. On-site intended export turnover reached USD 25.65 billion, with Belt and Road Initiative countries accounting for over 60% of total transactions, highlighting the growing importance of emerging markets.

Significant growth was observed among buyers from the European Union, the Middle East, the United States, and Brazil. In particular, 214,000 buyers attended from Belt and Road countries, marking a 9.4% year-on-year increase. The Canton Fair continues to support foreign trade development that is innovative, intelligent, and green. Among exhibitors, over 10,000 high-quality companies with titles such as high-tech, specialized and innovative , or “single champion” participated, setting a historic high. Pre-show surveys indicated more than 1 million newly developed products on display in the past year, nearly 1.1 million products with independent intellectual property rights, and approximately 800,000 products being exhibited for the first time.

Construction machinery, including wheel loaders, excavators, and electric machinery, continued to see strong demand. Domestic and overseas buyers showed particular interest in electric loaders and energy-efficient solutions, reflecting the sector’s shift toward sustainable and intelligent machinery.
